We are based in Exeter, but also working
regularly in East Devon and beyond, Magic Carpet were established
in 1981 to widen participation in the creative arts by disabled
and disadvantaged groups of people.
We aim
to offer quality creative support to those in our community
that will benefit from being in warm, friendly creative
environment.
Magic Carpet are
a Registered Charity number 1122778 and a Company limited by guarantee
number 6457745
We have ran a wide range of activities over the last few years including:
- songwriting sessions with children in a secure
unit
- pantomimes with people with learning disabilities
- poster project with people who have mental
health problems
- drama and performance with people who have
physical disabilities
- environmental arts with homeless people
- Carers arts and drama
workshops
- animation workshops with a
wide range of people
- Creative Training for people
that work in pre-school and play environment.
- carnivals with children and parents
- inset training day for teachers
